fiber pick-up routes

We - Rich and Shannon Koch - will be taking vacation beginning June 20th, and driving a truck through Eastern Idaho, Southern Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and parts of
Oregon. We need your help to consolidate fiber and establish Drop Points
for these runs. A DROP POINT is simply a place for others to bring their fiber,
which will then be picked up and trucked to Oregon. All you need is a dry
place to store it, and we’ll do the rest.   Please email us at
richnshan@hotmail.com and let us know if you can help with this. For those who cannot be a Drop Point, but want to
donate fiber, please check out the map for your closest Drop Point. If there is
not one near you, let us know and we will try find a way to get it.

We would like to establish the Drop Points   close to trip route. To help offset the
cost of our trip, we are asking .25 cents per pound with a $10 minimum and
a $25 maximum.

John Malkus, with West Coast Alpaca Transport has graciously agreed to help us collect fiber  along the I-5 corridor between California and Washington. If you live in this area and have fiber you would like to send to the Alpaca Blanket Project, please read the instructions below. To take advantage of his generosity without causing him problems we ask you to follow a few simple rules:

1.  Please pack your fiber in plastic bags with your identification (business cards
work great!) inside the bags.
Do not pack your fiber in boxes.  This way it will take
up less space for the alpacas he hauls.

2.  Please agree to meet John along I-5 in a place that is easily accessible for his
trailer.

3.  Please meet him at the time agreed upon.  His primary job is transporting
alpacas, and we don't want to hold him up on his deadlines.

4.  Be sure to thank him for this generous donation of time and transportation!

To contact John to find out when he will be in your area and arrange a pickup,
